Rear conservatory extension in East Sussex

Getting in touch

The quickest way to reach us is to ring 01323 671001. You will be talking to the same local, family-run team that does the work, not a call centre, and if we are on site we will ring you back.

If it is easier, email info@cbpropertymaintenanceltd.com or fill in the form below. For anything visible, a photo and a postcode helps enormously: it lets us judge the size of the job before we come out, and quite often we can tell you over the phone if it is a quick fix or something bigger.

Coming to look at a job and putting a written price to it is free and carries no obligation, whatever the size of the job. We do not do pressure selling and we do not chase people who have not come back to us.

If water is coming in, drainage has failed or something is unsafe, ring rather than email and tell us it is urgent, and we will do what we can to reach you the same day.

What to tell us when you get in touch

The more you can tell us at the start, the more useful our first answer will be. None of this is essential, and any of it helps.

  • Where the property is. A postcode is enough, and it tells us about the likely building type and how quickly we can get to you.
  • What is happening. What you can see, when it started and whether it changes with the weather.
  • A photo or two. Inside and outside where relevant. For damp, a photo of the wall and of the elevation outside above it is worth a long description.
  • How urgent it is. If water is getting in or something is unsafe, say so and ring rather than email.
  • If it is a rental or a block. So we know whether there is an agent, a tenant or a lease involved.
  • Anything else on the list. We can often deal with several jobs in one visit, which costs you considerably less than booking them separately.

Colin, Nat and the team carried out the work at a competitive price with the minimum of fuss. Courteous, punctual and could not have been more helpful.

Find us in Eastbourne

Our office is at Office 6, 25 Hyde Gardens, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN21 4PX, a few minutes from Eastbourne town centre and the station.

We are a working building firm rather than a shop, so most of the team is out on site during the day. If you would like to come in and talk something through, ring 01323 671001 first and we will make sure somebody is there.

Being based in the middle of Eastbourne means we are rarely more than half an hour from most of East Sussex, so we can usually get to an urgent job the same day and we are never far away if you need us again.

What happens after you contact us

There are four steps and the first three cost you nothing.

  1. We get back to you. Usually the same day. If we can answer it on the phone we will, and we will tell you honestly if you do not need us.
  2. We come and look. Free and with no obligation, usually within a few days, and sooner where something is urgent.
  3. You get an itemised written quote. Take as long over it as you like. We do not chase and we do not do time limited offers.
  4. We agree dates and do the work. You know who is coming and how long it should take, and we clear up as we go.

Questions we get asked

Do you charge for quotes?

No. Coming to look at a job and giving you a written price is free and carries no obligation, whatever the size of the job. You only pay once you have accepted a quote and we have done the work.

How quickly will you get back to me?

Usually the same day for calls and emails. For a free quote visit we are typically with you within a few days. Where water is coming in or something is unsafe, ring on 01323 671001 and say it is urgent and we will do what we can to reach you the same day.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Eastbourne and work across the whole of East Sussex, including Bexhill, Hastings, Seaford, Newhaven, Polegate, Hailsham, Pevensey, Willingdon, Lewes, Uckfield, Heathfield, Crowborough and Battle, and over towards Brighton. If your village is not listed, ring us and we will tell you either way.

What are your office hours?

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We are a working building firm so the team is usually on site during the day, and if nobody answers immediately leave a message and we will ring back. For urgent problems outside those hours, ring and leave a message describing what is happening.

Can I visit the office?

Yes, but ring first on 01323 671001 so we can make sure somebody is there. We are at Office 6, 25 Hyde Gardens, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN21 4PX. Most conversations are easier at the property itself, since we need to see the job to price it.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. There is no minimum job size and small jobs are a large part of what we do. If you have a list of odd jobs, send us the whole list rather than the worst item, because we can usually work through several in one visit.

Are you insured and accredited?

Yes. We are Gas Safe registered and members of the Federation of Master Builders, NAPIT and the FSB, and we carry public liability insurance. We are happy to show the paperwork before work starts, and for agents and commercial clients we can supply method statements and risk assessments too.

What if I only want advice?

That is fine and we are happy to give it. Ring us and describe what is happening, or send a photo. We would rather tell you something is minor, or that it is not our trade at all, than sell you work you do not need.

Backed by recognised standards

We are Gas Safe registered and members of the Federation of Master Builders, NAPIT and the FSB. Those memberships mean our gas, electrical and building work is measured against recognised standards, and that an outside body has looked at how we work rather than us simply saying we are good at it. For a family business our reputation matters more than anything, and we have built it one customer at a time.
